Director Virginia Drake has pulled no punches in
ensuring that the uproariously funny and furiously outrageous City Lights
Theater Company production of God of
Carnage will both delight and shock its audience with a terrific take on
this dark drama/comedy about modern-day parenting. Playwrirght
Yasmina Reza has taken the current term
“helicopter parents” (i.e., those parents who zoom in to over-involve
themselves in matters kids once handled themselves) and has rendered two sets
of busy bodies who soon become “fighter-jet” parents.
